A cross-cultural initiative empowering young people to make a sustainable difference in the world
The mission of Haiti Plunge, Inc. is to educate, challenge and empower both American and Haitian youth in social, educational and agricultural sustainable development in rural Haiti. The organization is committed to enabling young people to make a difference with their lives and be of service to others.
For $100USD, you can send a child to school for a year with a uniform, books and supplies. Please help today by clicking the Donate button.
Much like US kids waiting to hear about their college acceptances, Haitian kids wait to see if they have a sponsor that will allow them to attend school for a year. Many of these children ages 8, 9 and 10 years old will be attending for the first time. Parents cannot afford the tuition that schools must charge in order to exist. The government does not provide economic support for schools in remote areas. The Haiti Plunge Inc, with the help of generous donations, have sent hundreds of children to school, built schools and given the teachers supplies each year. However, there are many more that have yet to be sponsored, like Bedjine and Kervenson from Desab and Sawendo from TrouJilot.
Anyone interested in putting a smile on a child’s face can provide a school sponsorship for $100 annually, as the need continues to grow. A photo of the child will be sent to all sponsors. Payments can be made online using the donate button above (be sure to denote SP for "Sponsorship" next to your name or by mailing the form below to Haiti Plunge Inc., PO Box 376, Adams, MA 01220. Be sure to make check payable to Haiti Plunge / SP.
